WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Steve Southerland, II issued the following statement today in commemoration of Memorial Day:

“As we honor our fallen heroes this Memorial Day, we are reminded of the selfless sacrifice that generations of brave men and women in uniform have made on behalf of a grateful nation. We may never be able to repay the debt we owe them, but we can certainly keep their memory alive for years to come. I hope you will join me in saying a prayer and thanking God for blessing us with the heroes who are currently in harm’s way, while extending a hand of gratitude to a veteran in our North and Northwest Florida community.”
